Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Robert Eichstaedt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenny Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eichstaedt comes into the arena with Klaxons- Gravity Rainbow blaring out of the sound system. Kenny Wood acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Robert Eichstaedt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kenny Wood! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wood circles away from the clinch attempt.
Eichstaedt throws a head kick but Wood moves out of range.
Eichstaedt lands a nice looking body shot.
Wood uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. A left lands for Eichstaedt. Eichstaedt gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Eichstaedt as Wood tries to tie him up. Eichstaedt manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Eichstaedt tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Eichstaedt tries to stall but Wood uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
That's one minute gone in the round. A frustrated look appears on Wood's face as he tries to break the clinch. Wood jumps guard but Eichstaedt stands there with Wood around his waist. Wood gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Eichstaedt. Wood wants to break the clinch but can't.
Wood tries to pull guard but Eichstaedt holds him up against the cage and eventually Wood drops back down to his feet.
Wood is trying to force a seperation but Eichstaedt has the dominant position. The referee calls for Eichstaedt to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Eichstaedt stalling.
Eichstaedt with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Wood breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wood scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Wood tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Eichstaedt was well out of range. Poor timing from Wood. Wood with a body punch. A glancing blow. Eichstaedt throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Wood will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Robert Eichstaedt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kenny Wood. Eichstaedt slips a jab from Wood. Eichstaedt fails to land with a series of punches.
Eichstaedt looks to land a left hand but Wood moved out of range nicely. Excellent takedown into side control there by Wood.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Eichstaedt wants to control but Wood postures up. Wood misses with the ground and pound. Eichstaedt can't do much from the bottom here. Wood cracks Eichstaedt with an elbow. That is naaassty. Eichstaedt struggling a bit here. Wood is trying to get an arm triangle but Eichstaedt is defending well. Wood working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wood tries to move into full mount but can't pass Eichstaedt's legs. Wood trying to control the action but Eichstaedt is working from the bottom. Wood tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Eichstaedt wants to control but Wood postures up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wood thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Eichstaedt trying to remain calm as Wood controls from the top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Kenny Wood will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Wood scores with a hook. Wood takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Wood with a jab. Wood connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Eichstaedt's hands. Wood throws a hook to the side of Eichstaedt's head but Eichstaedt sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Eichstaedt pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Wood avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Eichstaedt tries to clinch up. Wood connects with a body shot that sends Eichstaedt's belly button to the back. Wood comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Wood just misses with a punch to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wood decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Eichstaedt wants to control but Wood is keeping busy and won't allow it. Wood has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Wood looking for a guillotine from mount but Eichstaedt is having none of it. Eichstaedt is bucking up trying to escape but Wood cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Eichstaedt takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Wood prevents Eichstaedt from getting the reversal. Wood working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wood looking to control and managing it successfully. Wood tries to control but Eichstaedt wriggling away. Wood sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Wood with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Eichstaedt tries to reverse the position but Wood maintains control. You get the feeling that Eichstaedt really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Wood is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Eichstaedt can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Eichstaedt knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wood on the ground. Wood fails to take his opponent's back.

Wood fails to take his opponent's back. Eichstaedt is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wood is working for a guillotine from mount but Eichstaedt frees his head quite easily.
Eichstaedt is squirming around, avoiding Wood's attempts to control the action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kenny Wood showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Eichstaedt bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Wood fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Eichstaedt lands a jab-cross combination. Eichstaedt stuffs the takedown. Wood blocks a head kick by Eichstaedt.

A left and a right from Wood both land. Nice combination. Eichstaedt shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Wood jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

That's going to take a lot out of Kenny Wood. Wood takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Horrible takedown by Wood or perhaps it was just good defense by Eichstaedt which made him look bad. Eichstaedt tries to clinch up. Eichstaedt misses with a head kick.

Wood drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Eichstaedt stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Eichstaedt wants it to stay on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wood ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Wood fails with a takedown attempt. Wood is trying hard to land a takedown here. Eichstaedt sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Eichstaedt swinging wildly here.
Eichstaedt gets in close and instigates a clinch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Eichstaedt leaning against his opponent.
Wood is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Eichstaedt gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Wood takes an elbow to the temple. Wood dodges an elbow strike from Eichstaedt.

Wood has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Wood is trying to break the clinch but Eichstaedt has him pressed against the cage. Eichstaedt trying to land knees to the body.
