The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacobs fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jacobs shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Los Mentos sprawls well. Los Mentos wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jacobs gets slowly back to his feet.
Jacobs tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Los Mentos swivels and escapes.
Senior Los Mentos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matthew Jacobs.
A left and a right from Los Mentos both land. Nice combination.
Los Mentos throws out a powerful jab.
Jacobs is rocked!
Los Mentos rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jacobs moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jacobs is still on wobbly legs! Can Los Mentos finish him?
Los Mentos throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jacobs.
Jacobs takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Los Mentos lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Jacobs can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Los Mentos and Jacobs drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Los Mentos.
