Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Scott Pilgrim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Angel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott Pilgrim could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Miguel Angel's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Scott Pilgrim! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Miguel Angel! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Angel misses with a takedown attempt - Pilgrim sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Pilgrim will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Pilgrim circles away from the clinch attempt.
Pilgrim takes the fight into the clinch. Angel tries for a takedown but Pilgrim manages to get underhooks.
Angel is looking to break free of the clinch but Pilgrim has double underhooks. Pilgrim wants to break the clinch but can't.
Angel misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Pilgrim.
A head punch on the inside from Angel fails to land. Pilgrim wants a takedown but no success here.
Pilgrim really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Pilgrim jumps guard but Angel stands there with Pilgrim around his waist. Pilgrim gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Angel is trying to drag Pilgrim to the mat but Pilgrim just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Pilgrim tries to score a body lock takedown but Angel shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Angel tries to clinch up but Pilgrim circles away and keeps his distance. Angel throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Pilgrim misses with a takedown attempt - Angel sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Pilgrim gets in close and instigates a clinch. Angel tries to break free but Pilgrim pushes him back against the cage. Angel is trying to break the clinch but Pilgrim has him pressed against the cage. Pilgrim is pressed up against the cage. Angel has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pilgrim down to the mat. Pilgrim avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. A low kick from Pilgrim misses and Angel counters with a nice body kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Angel shoots in looking for a takedown. Pilgrim tries to sprawl out of it but Angel keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pilgrim manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Angel looks gassed! Pilgrim scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Pilgrim is trying hard to land a takedown here. Angel sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Pilgrim clinches. Angel using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Pilgrim has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Angel scores with a knee to the head.
Angel's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Angel stuffs the takedown. Pilgrim shoots in but no luck this time. Angel closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Pilgrim did well to prevent Angel getting side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Pilgrim is trying to get back to full guard. Pilgrim is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Angel pulls his head out easily. Angel seems to be looking for submissions.
Angel is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Pilgrim has managed to free his arm - good work. Angel not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Angel wants to work for an arm triangle but Pilgrim is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Pilgrim regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Angel. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pilgrim controlling Angel's posture. Angel wants to pass the guard but Pilgrim is keeping the position. Pilgrim will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Pilgrim doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Pilgrim has his hands on Angel's head, controlling the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pilgrim manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Angel manages to get himself to full guard.

Pilgrim has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Angel uses from the top position. Pilgrim thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Angel trying to control but Pilgrim is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Angel has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Pilgrim is proving hard to escape from.
