PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aleksei Kruschev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daryl Abbott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kruschev comes into the arena with Shout at the Devil by Motley Crue blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kruschev feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Kruschev gets to his feet. Abbott looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Abbott fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Kruschev checks it well.
Kruschev avoids a kick to the body.

Abbott rushes Kruschev and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kruschev wants to get back to striking at distance but Abbott won't allow it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Abbott has his foot on Kruschev's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kruschev works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Abbott jumps guard but Kruschev stands there with Abbott around his waist. Abbott gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kruschev has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Abbott regains guard immediately.
Kruschev wanted to stand there but Abbott had control of the position.

Abbott has his feet on Kruschev's thighs here. He's pushed Kruschev off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Kruschev screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
