Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jeffy Jefferson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Corona (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jefferson comes to the cage accompanied by Fette's Vette. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jose Corona! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jefferson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Jefferson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Corona swivels and escapes. Jefferson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Corona feints and as Jefferson raises his hands in defense, Corona changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Corona wants to control from the top but Jefferson keeps moving. Corona stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jefferson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Corona controls from within his opponent's guard. Corona stops Jefferson from standing up. Jefferson looking for a sweep. Not yet Jefferson, not yet. Jefferson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jefferson working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Corona has passed into half guard!
Corona not doing much here.
Jefferson keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Well, if Corona is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Jefferson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Corona looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Corona lands strikes from half guard. Corona seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jefferson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Corona works his way into side control. Jefferson is looking for a sweep. Corona is looking to take a break and control but Jefferson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Jefferson tries to bench press Corona off him but Corona keeps the position. Jefferson is looking to regain half guard here but Corona keeps moving and retains side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Corona working the ground and pound. Corona wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jefferson keeps working.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Excellent takedown into side control there by Corona. Jefferson is breathing heavily. Corona thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Jefferson is trying to improve his position. Corona working the head and body with strikes. Corona is looking to take a break and control but Jefferson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Corona might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jefferson kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jose Corona dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Jefferson with a poor takedown and Corona counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Corona. Corona trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jefferson working for a triangle but Corona defends it easily.
Corona wants to control from the top but Jefferson keeps moving. Corona scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Jefferson being controlled here, momentarily. Corona wants to control from the top but Jefferson keeps moving. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Corona advances position into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Jefferson is looking to reverse the position. Corona stands up and we're back to a striking position. Jefferson tries for a takedown but Corona circles away easily and Corona counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Jose Corona has got the better of the ground game so far. Corona stands up from guard. Let's bang! Jefferson instigates a clinch. Jefferson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jefferson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Corona has a closed guard, preventing Jefferson from standing up. Corona can't keep his opponent in guard - Jefferson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Corona trying to control from the bottom.
Jefferson moves into full mount! Corona won't be happy about that!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jefferson working for a guillotine from mount but Corona is in no mood to give up. Jefferson unloading with bombs! Jefferson has hold of Corona's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Corona manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Jefferson lands with some strikes. Corona working to try and regain half guard.
Jefferson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Corona can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Corona tries to hold on but Jefferson postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Corona is trying to stand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jefferson misses with a head shot. Jefferson punching from mount but Corona doing a good job of avoiding damage. Corona is in all sorts of trouble here.
Corona tries to lock up and control but Jefferson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Corona can't escape the position.
Jefferson quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Jefferson but it's paid off an Corona is forced to tap! Nice work by Jefferson.
