The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Silva wants to clinch.
Gorski avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gorski paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Silva rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gorski moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Silva tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gorski was well out of range. Poor timing from Silva.
Gorski walks into a stiff left hand from Silva.

Gorski feints and as Silva raises his hands in defense, Gorski changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Gorski decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Silva lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Silva connects with an inside leg kick.
Silva throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

and Gorski counters with a single leg into guard. Silva didn't expect that.
Silva wants to get back to his feet but Gorski is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Silva tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gorski was well out of range. Poor timing from Silva.
Silva misses with a few strikes there.

Gorski closes the distance and clinches.
Silva with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

Gorski manages to break the clinch.
Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Gorski fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Silva to the ground. Gorski is now in Silva's guard.

Gorski escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Silva wants to stand but Gorski is controlling his posture from full guard.

Gorski is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Silva defends well.

Silva tries to stand but Gorski is controlling from the bottom.
Gorski pulls Silva in close to his closed guard and prevents Silva from doing any damage or advancing position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Silva wants to stand but Gorski is controlling his posture from full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Silva's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Gorski shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Gorski was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Gorski gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Some bone on bone action there as Gorski checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Gorski takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Silva scores with a jab.
Silva swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch but Gorski swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Gorski looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Gorski needs to keep his hands up - Silva had a free shot at his head there.

Silva takes a swing at Gorski's ribcage but misses.
Silva connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Gorski momentarily.

Gorski shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Silva's guard.
Silva wants to get back to his feet but Gorski is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gorski on the ground.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Silva is working an open guard so Gorski takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Gorski shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Silva pinned against the cage. Silva gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Gorski changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Silva looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Silva is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Silva misses with a jab, cross combination.
Gorski bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Gorski circles away.
Silva looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Gorski drops his hands momentarily and Silva takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Gorski shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Silva sprawls well. Silva wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gorski gets slowly back to his feet.
Silva fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Gorski looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Gorski throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silva's waist but Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gorski off to one side.

Gorski's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Silva connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Gorski scrambles back to his feet.
Gorski uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Silva.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Wanderlei Silva.
I think Gorski has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
