Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jack Salamador (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Pollock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Salamador! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Henry Pollock! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Salamador just misses with a punch to the body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Salamador looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Pollock has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Pollock there as he acknowledges the shot. Pollock moves in looking to clinch but Salamador pushes him off. Pollock throws a right and a left that both miss. Salamador throws an off balance right hand
and Pollock counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Salamador! Pollock looking to control but Salamador is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salamador is working to get back to half guard.
Pollock really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Salamador. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Pollock controlling the pace for now. Salamador tries to improve his position but instead Pollock has taken his back! Salamador wants to escape the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Salamador breaks Pollock's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pollock is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Pollock keeping moving, preventing Salamador from controlling successfully. Pollock is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salamador pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pollock is keeping the position for now. Salamador wants to control from the top but Pollock keeps moving. Salamador trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We're going to have a standup here because Jack Salamador wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Pollock scores with a takedown into Salamador's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pollock sitting in guard, not really doing much. Pollock got a little sloppy there for a moment and Salamador has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pollock has managed to get both his arms back between Salamador's legs - danger averted. Salamador is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. This has been an exciting period of action! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Pollock is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Salamador seems to be looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Henry Pollock will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Salamador looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pollock is fending him off so far but Salamador persists. Nope, Pollock circles away and we're back to standing. Salamador throws a jab when Pollock was well out of range. Salamador throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Pollock tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Salamador is in Pollock's guard. Pollock looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Salamador passes easily into side control. Nice work. Salamador fails to land a wild elbow strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salamador working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Salamador wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pollock keeps working. Salamador wants to take a breather but Pollock manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Salamador. Salamador wants to control from the top but Pollock keeps moving. Pollock not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Salamador passes Pollock's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Salamador seems to be looking for submissions.
Salamador passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Pollock! Pollock has given up his back. Will we see Salamador going for some submissions?
Salamador not allowing Pollock to control his hands. Salamador has his arm under Pollock's chin here. Game over son! Salamador squeezes tightly and Pollock is forced to tap out!
