Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Stan TheMan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think TheMan might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Get Up Again. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young scores with a head kick.
It looks like Stan TheMan has been cut.
TheMan misses with a looping left.
TheMan throws a right and a left that Young avoids nicely.
TheMan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Young avoids it really well and circles away.
TheMan tests Young's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Young rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but TheMan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A big right from TheMan misses.
Young looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Young keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

and Young counters with a one-two to the body.
TheMan throws a series of punches but Young moves out of range.
Young takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Young throws a sloppy head kick and TheMan moves out of range easily.
Young throws a jab but it's blocked by TheMan.

TheMan misses with a looping left.
Young throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
TheMan thuds a left hand into Young's body.

TheMan avoids the head kick by Young.
TheMan throws a body punch but Young moves out of range.
Young takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
TheMan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Young's guard.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Young keeping full guard, as TheMan tries to pass.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
TheMan missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
TheMan passes easily into side control. Nice work.
TheMan is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Young's shoulder. That is not cool.
Young tries to escape but TheMan is in control.
TheMan tries to advance to mount but can't.
TheMan connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Young some visible discomfort.
Young is trying to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
TheMan trying to control the position but Young is working away.
TheMan is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Young is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Young pushes TheMan away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, TheMan gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
TheMan is chipping away with strikes.
TheMan prevents Young from escaping the position.
TheMan cracks Young with an elbow. That is naaassty.
TheMan is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
TheMan tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Young takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
TheMan controlling the position from side mount.
Young tries to escape but TheMan is in control.
Check out the look on TheMan's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
TheMan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Young keeps working.

TheMan wants to control but Young is keeping him busy.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Young takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Young throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

TheMan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Young was well out of range. Poor timing from TheMan.
Nice shot lands for TheMan.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Young.
Young throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Stan TheMan is winning the standup battle so far.
A punch lands to the side of Young 's head but he takes it in his stride.
TheMan throws a series of strikes that have Young backpedaling.
Young is rocked!
and TheMan counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Young! He's just covering up as TheMan starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
