PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roque Barretto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabian Cameron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Barretto might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Last Man Standing - By 4ft Fingers. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cameron fails with the takedown.
Cameron has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Barretto.
Cameron lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Barretto fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Cameron has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Cameron looks to score with a jab to the body but Barretto is just out of range.

Cameron throws an overhand right that lands on Barretto's shoulder, as Barretto tries to avoid the shot.
Cameron keeps the fight on the outside.

The fighters circle momentarily. Cameron darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Barretto connects with an inside leg kick.
Barretto uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Cameron.
Barretto tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cameron swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Barretto tries a body shot but Cameron blocks it.
Barretto manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Cameron breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Barretto.
Barretto throws a head kick but Cameron moves out of range.

Barretto stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Barretto wants it to stay on the feet.

Cameron scores with a hook to the body. Barretto takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
A looping hook to the body misses from Cameron. Barretto does a little dance to reset his feet.
Barretto throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Barretto throws a body punch but Cameron moves out of range.

Cameron shoots in for a takedown but Barretto shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Roque Barretto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fabian Cameron.
Barretto tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Cameron is able to avoid easily.
Cameron is trying desperately to land a takedown but Barretto is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Cameron.

Whack! Barretto lands a heavy head kick that drops Cameron. The ref tackles Barretto to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Cameron was done.
