Kirby comes into the arena with Go Hard blaring out of the sound system. Matthew Michael Kirby could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to David Peters's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matthew Michael Kirby! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Peters! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kirby throws a sloppy head kick and Peters moves out of range easily. Kirby pushes Peters up against the cage in a clinch. Peters lands an uppercut. Peters gets through Kirby's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Kirby trying to control the position but instead, Peters has worked for underhooks and has pushed Kirby into the cage. Peters lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Peters scores with an uppercut up the middle. Kirby is pressed up against the cage. Peters has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kirby down to the mat. Kirby avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Peters misses with a jab, cross combination.
Peters tries to clinch up and Kirby counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kirby moves into the clinch. Peters keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kirby's efforts to push away. Peters cracks Kirby with a nice body shot. A nice left hand lands by Kirby.
Peters keeps control of Kirby as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peters lands a nice elbow.
It looks like Matthew Michael Kirby has been cut. Peters lands a left hand that snaps the head of Kirby backwards. A nice right hand lands inside from Peters. Kirby fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Peters lands a left hand.
Peters tries for a takedown. No joy.
Peters lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Kirby. A short left from Peters. Peters prevents Kirby from breaking the clinch. Peters lands a right hand that snaps the head of Kirby backwards. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Peters lands a nice elbow. Peters lands with a left to the head. Kirby is breathing heavily. A shot in the inside from Peters. Peters lands an elbow inside that Kirby shrugs off. Kirby wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Kirby takes a shot to the head. Peters lands a hook that snaps the head of Kirby backwards.
Kirby is rocked! Peters works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A nice left hand lands by Peters.
Oh Kirby is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Peters lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kirby backwards. Peters throws a big uppercut that drops Kirby! More strikes from Peters and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Kirby lies dazed against the cage as Peters celebrates with his cornermen!
