And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valaria misses with a takedown
and Fredriksson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Fredriksson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Fredriksson drops back looking for a leg! Valaria is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Valaria manages to kick Fredriksson off! Fredriksson jumps back into Valaria's guard.
Fredriksson pushing down on Valaria's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Fredriksson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Valaria is just riding it out for now. Fredriksson eventually gives up the hold.
Valaria is trying to control but Fredriksson passes into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Fredriksson has hold of Valaria's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Valaria tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Fredriksson cranks the arm and Valaria screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Valaria, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). David Fredriksson!
