Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Greg Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Masaru Midget (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Midget comes into a darkened arena with his song building. MC Hammer - U Can't Touch This kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Greg Stevenson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Masaru Midget! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Midget jabs Stevenson right on the nose. Stevenson blinks but takes it well. Stevenson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Stevenson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Stevenson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Midget avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Stevenson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Midget tries to avoid it but Stevenson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Midget to the ground. Midget escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Midget attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Stevenson throws the left hand but Midget avoids the punch easily. Midget blocks a jab. Stevenson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Midget quickly recovers to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Midget wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stevenson wants to work for an arm triangle but Midget is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Midget tries to kick Stevenson off but Stevenson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stevenson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Midget is trying to stand back up but Stevenson is controlling him
Stevenson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Stevenson prevents Midget from standing back up.
Stevenson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Midget is just riding it out for now. Stevenson eventually gives up the hold. Midget kicks off Stevenson and gets to his feet. Greg Stevenson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stevenson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Midget connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Stevenson scrambles back to his feet. Stevenson tries for a takedown but Midget sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Greg Stevenson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stevenson fails with the takedown.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stevenson takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Midget lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Stevenson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Midget stuffs the takedown. Stevenson missing with a left hand there. Midget was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Midget keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Midget is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Stevenson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Midget as he jumps to the side. Stevenson is breathing heavily. Midget thumps Stevenson with a low kick. Stevenson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Midget has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Midget scores with a kick to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Stevenson on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Midget closes the distance and pushes Stevenson back into the cage. Stevenson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. With the fighters up against the cage, Midget throws an elbow but misses. Midget lands with a right to the head. Midget lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Midget throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Midget manages to break the clinch.
Stevenson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Midget with a hook. Midget lands with a slapping head kick. Stevenson shoots in for a double leg but Midget sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Midget fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Stevenson on the side of the head. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Midget is looking to clinch but Stevenson is avoiding it.
Midget explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. The fighters circle momentarily. Midget darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Midget is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Stevenson had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Stevenson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Masaru Midget dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Stevenson walks into a jab. Good standup being displayed there by Midget as he connects with a hook.
Stevenson is rocked! Midget cracks Stevenson with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Stevenson falls to his knees and Midget doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Masaru Midget!
