Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Snitch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Drake with a poor takedown and Snitch counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Drake looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Drake is trying to control but can't.
Drake looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Snitch looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Drake with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Snitch throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Snitch perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Snitch is nestled in close to Drake, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Snitch thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Drake tries to roll over but Snitch keeps him under control. Snitch passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Drake! Snitch sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. It looks like Snitch might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Drake wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Snitch misses with punches from the back. Snitch scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Drake is looking for a way out. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Drake tries to roll but Snitch sticks to his back.
Drake manages to reverse the position and now he's in Snitch's guard. Nice work there by Drake.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Snitch is on top in guard.

Drake keeping moving, preventing Snitch from controlling successfully. Snitch is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Snitch postures up and lands a big shot to Drake's brow. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Snitch is sitting in close to Drake's body. Drake has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Snitch is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Snitch is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Drake.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Ryan Drake! Our winner, Ryan Drake, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
