Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Perrin Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenji Okabe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Piggly Wiggly. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Perrin Jones!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kenji Okabe!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Jones looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jones lands with a nice body punch.

Jones looking to score a takedown here. Okabe is defending well but Jones drives through and ends up in Okabe's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Okabe manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jones manages to get himself to full guard.
Okabe wants to pass the guard but Jones is keeping the position.
Jones will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Okabe is nestled in close to Jones, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kenji Okabe wasn't active enough on the ground.

Okabe is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jones lands a nice short elbow.
Okabe is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Jones is trying to work for a kimura but Okabe is defending well.
Okabe tries to roll over but Jones keeps him under control.
Jones passes to side control.
Okabe sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Okabe wants to improve his position but Jones is controlling well.
Jones thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Okabe's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Perrin Jones dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Jones slips under a jab.
Jones fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Jones will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Okabe cracks Jones with a good jab.
Horrible takedown by Okabe or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones which made him look bad.
Jones uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Okabe.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jones, right into the meat.
Okabe tries to move into range but Jones moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Jones misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Okabe.
Jones shoots for a takedown but Okabe saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Okabe.

Jones closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Okabe is trying to get back to half guard.
Jones misses with the ground and pound.
Jones throwing strikes but Okabe manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Okabe moves into full mount! Jones won't be happy about that!
Jones can't escape the position.
Okabe wants to control the pace but Jones is squirming around nicely.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Okabe cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Jones tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Jones is working hard here to advance position.
Okabe lands a big shot there that rocks Jones but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Okabe has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Jones's face.
