Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jair Lao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jayar Dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jair Lao! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jayar Dos Santos! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lao is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Dos Santos's half guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Lao is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Dos Santos wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lao perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Jair Lao just wasn't active enough. Dos Santos stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dos Santos wants it to stay on the feet. Lao feints and as Dos Santos raises his hands in defense, Lao changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lao is looking to work some ground and pound but Dos Santos has wrist control. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lao accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Dos Santos is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lao is controlling him. Lao controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jair Lao. Dos Santos misses with a jab, cross combination.
Lao looking to score a takedown here. Dos Santos is defending well but Lao drives through and ends up in Dos Santos's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lao with a nice head shot there. Lao looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Lao's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Dos Santos really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lao. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lao's corner is telling him to maintain position. Lao loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Lao has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dos Santos gets caught napping as Lao dives in and scores a takedown. Dos Santos manages to retain guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lao working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Lao scoring with punches to the head and body. Dos Santos looks gassed! Lao lands a couple of digs. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lao postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Dos Santos can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lao controls the pace. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lao in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jair Lao dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Lao feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Lao is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Dos Santos is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Lao might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Lao is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jair Lao wasn't doing enough on the ground. Lao gets a takedown into half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jair Lao just wasn't active enough. Dos Santos throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lao scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Dos Santos is letting Lao control him for a moment. Lao working the ground and pound from side control. Dos Santos is breathing heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! Dos Santos is trying to escape the position but Lao is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dos Santos prevents Lao from improving position. Lao is staying tight to Dos Santos's torso, preventing him from escaping. Lao creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Lao lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Dos Santos wants to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dos Santos takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Lao taking a breather here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jair Lao dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Lao shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dos Santos's guard. Jair Lao overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lao looking to pass the guard. Lao is stalling in the full guard. Lao working some strikes from top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lao wants to pass the guard but Dos Santos is keeping the position. Lao slips nicely into half guard. Lao has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Lao breaks from Dos Santos's wrist control and lands an elbow. Dos Santos takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lao with a couple of short strikes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lao takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Lao landing shots from mount. Lao content just to control the position here. Lao is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dos Santos fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Lao shoots in but no luck this time. Lao gets the takedown into side control. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Lao scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Dos Santos to see if he's OK. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The referee asks Lao politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Lao prefers to stall for the moment though.
We're going to have a standup here because Jair Lao wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Lao drives through with a takedown into guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Lao controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
And that's the end of the fight! Jair Lao showed his dominance in that final round. Well Lao has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
