The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Dyer misses. Dyer cracks a nice hook into Faber's ribs. Dyer drives through and clinches with Faber against the cage.
Faber being controlled against the cage. Faber is trying to drag Dyer to the mat but Dyer just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Faber being controlled against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dyer tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Faber is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Dyer gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Dyer effectively controlling the action here. Dyer gets underhooks to prevent Faber's takedown attempt.

Faber is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet! Dyer instigates a clinch. Dyer lands a knee to the body.

Dyer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Dyer closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Dyer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dyer tries to clinch up but Faber circles away and keeps his distance. Dyer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Faber, pushing him back against the cage. Dyer connects with a nasty looking knee right to Faber's face.

Dyer seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. Dyer gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Faber closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dyer circles away. Dyer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
And that's the end of the fight! James Dyer showed his dominance in that final round. Well Dyer has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
