Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Waru Kuzuri! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiroyuki Miyasako! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Shimada and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kuzuri works Miyasako's body with a nice hook. Kuzuri throws a right and a left that Miyasako avoids nicely. Kuzuri tests Miyasako's chin there with a solid looking shot. Kuzuri throws a series of punches but Miyasako avoids them all with ease. Kuzuri takes a swing at Miyasako's ribcage but misses. Kuzuri keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Miyasako throws a looping overhand right but Kuzuri ducks down to avoid it. Kuzuri fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Miyasako on the side of the head. Miyasako tried to score with a low kick but Kuzuri checks it. Miyasako throws a hook but Kuzuri avoids it easily. Miyasako lands with a thumping leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miyasako throws a nice outside leg kick. Kuzuri keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Kuzuri tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Miyasako was well out of range. Poor timing from Kuzuri. Miyasako ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kuzuri moves away. Kuzuri slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Miyasako is rocked!
It looks like Hiroyuki Miyasako has been cut. Miyasako looks up at the clock. Bad move! Kuzuri lands a right hand from hell, dropping Miyasako. Kuzuri pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Waru Kuzuri! Waru Kuzuri retains his bantamweight title!
