Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Porterfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stan Richard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Richard has chosen In Ashes They Shall Reap as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bobby Porterfield!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stan Richard!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Jonathan Paton and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richard avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Richard scores with a decent looking hook.
Richard cracks Porterfield with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Richard misses with a straight left.
Richard keeps the fight on the outside.
Porterfield slips a jab from Richard.
Porterfield avoids the head kick by Richard.
Richard takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Porterfield tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Porterfield feints a jab promting Richard to slip. Porterfield then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Richard slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Porterfield wants to clinch up but Richard keeps it at a distance.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Richard changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Porterfield looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Richard connects with a nice short shot to Porterfield's temple.

It looks like Richard might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Porterfield makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Porterfield.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Stan Richard hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Richard tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Porterfield is able to avoid easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stan Richard!
Stan Richard was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
