The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasara drives through with a takedown into Paavali's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Paavali is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Paavali has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vasara can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Vasara throwing strikes from guard but Paavali blocks nicely.
Vasara throws a strike but Paavali rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Paavali trying to control but Vasara is working from the bottom.
Paavali looking to sit in guard and control but Vasara gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Vasara is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Paavali has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Vasara is looking to defend but Paavali has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Vasara! Paavali pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Vasara taps out and this one is all over!
