Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gotch misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Gotch escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Laid gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Gotch throws a right hand that Laid ducks under and follows up with a left that Laid also avoids with ease.
Laid shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gotch is trying to defend but Laid finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
