Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Max Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Ares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ares has chosen Baby as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ares misses with the combination.
Johnson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ares manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ares closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Johnson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ares is pressed up against the cage. Johnson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ares down to the mat. Ares avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

That was a close round but I would say that Max Johnson will probably get the nod.

Ares is fighting off a takedown attempt but Johnson is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Ares to the mat. Ares regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ares escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Johnson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
