Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Bennett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lucas Bennett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Roy Jones! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Chris Edwards and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bennett fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jones to the ground. Bennett is now in Jones's guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Bennett trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bennett trying to stand up but can't free himself from Jones's guard. Bennett slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Jones is looking for a sweep. Jones can't do much from the bottom here. Bennett wants to control but Jones is keeping him busy. Bennett looking to control but instead Jones has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Bennett is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Jones has his foot on Bennett's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bennett works his way back into a safe position though. Bennett with a flurry of punches that miss. Bennett wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving. Bennett drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jones dives on top into guard. Jones throwing strikes from guard but Bennett blocks nicely.

Bennett can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jones controls the pace. Jones stopping the sweep attempt from Bennett.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Lucas Bennett just wasn't active enough. Left hook, right uppercut from Bennett. Bennett misses with a kick to the body.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Jones closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Bennett trying to control here.
Bennett blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jones. Jones is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Bennett on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bennett tries to get out of the position. Bennett trying to hold on to Jones's head to control him but Jones postures up.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Lucas Bennett has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Jones gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bennett to score an easy takedown into full guard. Bennett is breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bennett is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jones is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jones has escaped and now he's on top! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Lucas Bennett will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Jones closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bennett's guard. Roy Jones has got the better of the ground game so far. Bennett scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Jones looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Jones wants to stand up but Bennett has a hold of him and won't allow it. That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is looking to take a break and control but Bennett is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Roy Jones. Bennett swings away with a leg kick that misses. Bennett lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bennett. Jones looking to score a takedown here. Bennett is defending well but Jones drives through and ends up in Bennett's guard. Jones thows a big elbow that misses. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Bennett is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones looking to pass the guard. Bennett has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jones can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Bennett can't keep his opponent in guard - Jones advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Bennett is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Jones jumps into side control!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones is looking to take a break and control but Bennett is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Bennett is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Jones asserts his dominance and retains side control. Jones looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Jones taking a breather here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bennett is looking to regain half guard here but Jones keeps moving and retains side control. Jones throws a strike aimed at the side of Bennett's head but Bennett avoids it well. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bennett struggling a bit here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Roy Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Bennett throws a leg kick but Jones moved away. Excellent takedown into side control there by Jones. Bennett wants to control but Jones postures up. Jones decides to stand back up. Bennett gets caught napping as Jones dives in and scores a takedown. Bennett manages to retain guard. Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Bennett is retaining full guard. Jones distracts Bennett with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Jones controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bennett looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Jones has picked Bennett up and slammed him! Bennett can't keep hold of the triangle and Jones manages to pass to side control! Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bennett is pushing Jones's head away, looking to escape. Jones manages to hold on to the position though. Bennett is trying to control Jones's posture but Jones avoids it. Bennett pushes Jones away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jones gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Jones has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Bennett is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Jones yanks on the arm and Bennett is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Jones.
