Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Salazar misses with a few strikes there.
Salazar sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Salazar keeps the fight on the outside. A solid leg kick lands there for Salazar.
Left hook, right uppercut from Salazar. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dave shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Dave was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Salazar is in all sorts of trouble here.
Salazar is squirming around, avoiding Dave's attempts to control the action. Salazar avoids a series of strikes thrown by Dave.
Salazar is looking to improve his position but Dave isn't that keen on the idea.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salazar regains half guard. Salazar is trying to get back to full guard. Dave tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Salazar. Dave with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Salazar is looking to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Salazar trying to control but Dave postures up.
Salazar is breathing heavily. Dave wants to work for an arm triangle but Salazar is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Salazar is looking to escape. Salazar tries to roll over but Dave keeps him under control. Dave is looking for a kimura here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salazar makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Salazar. Dave throwing strikes but missing. Dave preventing the sweep. Dave stands up and waves to Salazar to follow him. Dave keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Dave throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Salazar was covering up waiting for the punch and Dave finishes the takedown easily into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dave stopping the sweep attempt from Salazar. Dave is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Dave wants to stand but Salazar is controlling his posture from full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dave controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dynamic Dave dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Salazar with a poor takedown and Dave counters with a series of strikes. Salazar will be more careful next time no doubt. Dave shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Salazar manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Salazar has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Dave's face.
Salazar has control of Dave's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Dave regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Dave tries to get back to half guard but can't. This has been an exciting period of action! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dave can do anything to dispel that myth. Dave wants to control but Salazar is having none of it. Dave is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Salazar locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Dave is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Mateo Salazar! Mateo Salazar decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
