Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fieldy Shnutz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gerardo Altamirano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fieldy Shnutz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gerardo Altamirano! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shnutz misses with a head kick.
Shnutz wants to clinch. Shnutz tries to clinch but Altamirano is having none of it. Altamirano blocks the body kick.
Shnutz tries to clinch but Altamirano moves away and Altamirano counters with a two punch combo. Altamirano shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Altamirano sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Shnutz defending well though. Shnutz on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Shnutz tries to get out of the position. Shnutz on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Altamirano is working for a kimura but Shnutz is defending it quite comfortably.
Altamirano is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Shnutz might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shnutz tries to roll over but Altamirano keeps him under control. Shnutz is working hard here to advance position. Altamirano with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Altamirano has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Altamirano throwing shots but Shnutz is blocking nicely. Altamirano seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Shnutz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Shnutz is looking for a sweep. Altamirano is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shnutz is not content to let Altamirano control the position. Altamirano is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Altamirano trying to control the action but Shnutz is working from the bottom. Altamirano is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Gerardo Altamirano was stalling too much, according to the referee. Altamirano shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Shnutz counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shnutz is figuring out what he wants to do next. Shnutz looks to land a strike but Altamirano avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Altamirano keeping moving, preventing Shnutz from controlling successfully. Altamirano manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Altamirano looks gassed! Altamirano with a lazy takedown attempt and Shnutz counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Altamirano's guard now. Shnutz avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Shnutz seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shnutz has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Altamirano is proving hard to escape from. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Shnutz stops Altamirano from standing up. Shnutz controlling from the top position. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Fieldy Shnutz. Shnutz shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Altamirano is trying to defend but Shnutz finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Gerardo Altamirano will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Shnutz shoots in and gets a takedown into Altamirano's guard. Shnutz has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Altamirano keeping full guard, as Shnutz tries to pass. Shnutz wants to control from the top but Altamirano keeps moving. Altamirano manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Shnutz shoots in looking for a takedown but Altamirano manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Shnutz's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Shnutz dives in and scores a takedown into Altamirano's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shnutz wants to control from the top but Altamirano keeps moving. Shnutz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Altamirano on the ground. Altamirano escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Shnutz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Altamirano is breathing heavily. Shnutz trying to control the position from guard on top but Altamirano is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Altamirano seems keen to control Shnutz's posture. Altamirano is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Shnutz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Altamirano escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Shnutz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Shnutz is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Shnutz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Altamirano works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Altamirano throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Shnutz sitting in guard, not really doing much. Shnutz tries to stand but Altamirano is controlling from the bottom. Shnutz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Altamirano has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Shnutz has managed to get both his arms back between Altamirano's legs - danger averted. Shnutz controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shnutz drops back, looking for a kneebar! Altamirano looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Altamirano looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Altamirano! Shnutz is looking for a sweep. Altamirano wants to control but Shnutz is keeping him busy. Altamirano is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Shnutz is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Shnutz is looking to reverse the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gerardo Altamirano showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Shnutz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Altamirano's waist but Altamirano gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Shnutz off to one side. Altamirano lands a jab to the head.
Fieldy Shnutz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nice takedown defense from Altamirano. No joy for Shnutz on that attempt. Altamirano avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Altamirano leaves Shnutz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fieldy Shnutz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Shnutz fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Altamirano avoids it really well and circles away. Shnutz fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Altamirano to the ground. Shnutz is now in Altamirano's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Altamirano manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Shnutz manages to get himself to full guard.

Shnutz can't keep his opponent in guard - Altamirano advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Altamirano performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Altamirano wants to take a breather but Shnutz is having none of it. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Altamirano in particular looking to stall. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Altamirano is looking to take a break and control but Shnutz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Altamirano thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Shnutz's head. Altamirano trying to control the pace. Gerardo Altamirano has got the better of the ground game so far.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Gerardo Altamirano. Altamirano scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Altamirano keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Shnutz stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Shnutz wants it to stay on the feet. Altamirano throws a leg kick but Shnutz sees it coming and moves out of range. Shnutz shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Altamirano is trying to defend but Shnutz finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shnutz wants to take a breather but Altamirano is having none of it. Shnutz is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Altamirano is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Shnutz performing his best blanket impression for a moment. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Altamirano tries to get to full guard but Shnutz has control of the leg. Fieldy Shnutz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Fieldy Shnutz wasn't doing enough on the ground. Shnutz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Gerardo Altamirano. Well Altamirano has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
