Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Maxwell Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ste McGhee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maxwell Green has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maxwell Green! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ste McGhee! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Green tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. McGhee fails with a takedown attempt. Green drives through with a takedown into McGhee's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McGhee can do anything to dispel that myth. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Green sitting in guard here, content to control. Green trying to control but McGhee is working from the bottom. McGhee has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Green off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. McGhee slaps away a takedown attempt from Green, before circling back to the center of the mat. No luck for Green with that takedown attempt. Green moves into the clinch. Green tries to circle away but McGhee has him pinned against the cage.

Ste McGhee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Green leaves McGhee with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. No luck for McGhee with that takedown attempt. Nice shot by Green. McGhee looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Green is fending him off so far but McGhee persists. Nope, Green circles away and we're back to standing. McGhee closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Green's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McGhee in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. McGhee is looking to work some ground and pound but Green has wrist control. McGhee with a flurry of punches that miss. McGhee lands a couple of elbows. McGhee throws a big right hand that misses. Green tries to land a sweep but no joy. McGhee scoring with punches to the head and body. McGhee working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Green's head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Green is trying to keep McGhee in close.
McGhee postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. McGhee lands a couple of digs. McGhee with a nice head shot there. McGhee is working Green over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. McGhee is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. McGhee stands up over Green, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! McGhee working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Ste McGhee dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
McGhee shoots in and bounces Green off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. McGhee chips away with some ground and pound. Green has momentary wrist control but McGhee slips an elbow through the middle. Green avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. McGhee scoring with punches to the head and body. Green not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

McGhee lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Green is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. McGhee with a couple of shots to the head there. No, McGhee has managed to get both his arms back between Green's legs - danger averted. Green wants to sweep but no luck. McGhee pushes down on Green's leg and manages to get into half guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! McGhee landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. McGhee connects with a nice short shot to Green's temple. McGhee drops an elbow to the side of Green's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ste McGhee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!
Green tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. McGhee looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Green shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McGhee pinned against the cage. McGhee gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. McGhee has a takedown stuffed. Green shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McGhee but McGhee pushes him off and we're back to square one. Green defends well against a solid takedown attempt from McGhee. Maxwell Green has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ste McGhee. Green changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McGhee looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Green trying to control the action but McGhee is working from the bottom. McGhee is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

After a battle for position, Green asserts his dominance and retains side control. Green tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. McGhee throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Green wants to clinch up but McGhee keeps it at a distance. McGhee has a takedown stuffed. Green slaps away a takedown attempt from McGhee, before circling back to the center of the mat. Green looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for McGhee! Green wants to control the pace but McGhee is squirming around nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McGhee bucks up and throws Green to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape! Green shoots in for a takedown but McGhee shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. McGhee shoots in for a double leg but Green sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Green shoots in but McGhee avoids the takedown attempt easily. McGhee checks a leg kick. Green slaps away a takedown attempt from McGhee, before circling back to the center of the mat. McGhee with a lazy takedown attempt and Green counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Green. McGhee pushes Green off and scrambles back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McGhee is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Green. McGhee shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. McGhee fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Green avoids it really well and circles away. Green scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. McGhee shoots in but no luck this time. Green lands a really nice looking cross but McGhee seems unphased.
McGhee shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Green as he jumps to the side. Green shoots in for a takedown but McGhee shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Ste McGhee is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. McGhee closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Maxwell Green has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Green wants to get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Maxwell Green showed his dominance in that final round. I think McGhee has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Ste McGhee! A determined Ste McGhee didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
