Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andy Berger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joel Suter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andy Berger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joel Suter! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Reed Andrews and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Berger shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Berger has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Berger won't allow Suter to sweep him here. Suter working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Berger. Suter wants to sweep here but Berger controlling him for the moment. Berger postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Berger postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Berger trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Berger trying to control but Suter is working from the bottom. Suter is trying to keep Berger in close.
Berger throwing strikes but missing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Suter is trying to control the position but Berger postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Berger shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Suter manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Berger loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Berger pushes down on Suter's leg and manages to get into half guard. Berger prevents Suter from standing back up.
Berger takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Suter is not content to let Berger control the position. Suter blocking the ground and pound attempt from Berger. Berger is keen to just control but Suter is a slippery customer. Berger throwing shots but Suter is blocking nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Suter keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Berger trying to control from half guard but Suter is working away. Berger is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Suter has managed to free his arm - good work. Suter on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. This has been an exciting period of action! Berger is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Suter is looking to escape. Berger is working for a kimura but Suter is defending it quite comfortably.
Berger lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Berger prevents Suter from improving his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Berger is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Suter defends it well. Suter manages to get to full guard.
Suter looking to control.
Berger decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Suter, up you get!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Berger avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sloppy strikes from Berger. Those never looked like landing. Berger is breathing heavily. Suter moves in looking to clinch but Berger pushes him off. Berger misses with a straight right. Berger closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Suter is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Berger off and has taken his back! Suter looking for the choke but no joy. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Suter trying to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andy Berger dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Suter tries to clinch up. Suter pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. No luck with that takedown attempt from Suter. Berger is trying hard to land a takedown here. Suter sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Suter tries to clinch but Berger is having none of it. Berger fails with the takedown. Berger shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andy Berger. That's going to take a lot out of him. Berger dives in and scores a takedown into Suter's guard. Berger wants to control from the top but Suter keeps moving. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Andy Berger overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Berger stops Suter from standing up. Berger throws a strike but Suter rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Suter looking to pass the guard. Suter scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Suter working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Suter with a flurry of punches that miss. Suter trying to control the position from guard on top but Berger is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Suter pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Berger is keeping the position for now. Suter wants to control from the top but Berger keeps moving. Suter chips away with some ground and pound. Suter stands and steps away. Berger gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Suter throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Suter looks for a takedown but Berger sprawls well. Berger tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Suter manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Suter closes the distance and clinches up with Berger, looking for a takedown. Suter pushes Berger against the cage but Berger circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Berger throws a combination that misses and Suter counters with a right hand to the body. Berger shoots in but no luck this time. Berger fails with a takedown attempt. Suter moves into the clinch. Suter has Berger pressed against the cage.
Suter has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Berger is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Berger prevents Suter from breaking the clinch. Suter prevents the takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Suter fails to pull guard.

Berger tries for a takedown but Suter manages to get underhooks.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Suter. Suter lands with a light punch inside. Suter looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Suter escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Berger has his takedown stuffed and Suter counters with an outside leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joel Suter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Suter tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Suter wants to break free but Berger has control.
Berger wants a takedown but no success here.
Suter is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Berger pulls him back up using the underhooks. Suter breaks the clinch.
Suter tries to clinch but Berger is having none of it. Berger shoots in but Suter avoids the takedown attempt easily. Berger shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andy Berger. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sloppy strikes from Suter. Those never looked like landing. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Suter feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Berger on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Berger tries to get out of the position. Berger wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Berger kicks Suter off and gets to his feet. Suter shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Berger but Berger pushes him off and we're back to square one. Berger fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Suter sprawls well initially but Berger persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Berger thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Suter to regain full guard. Suter is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Suter trying to pass the guard but Berger defending well. Suter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Berger keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Suter missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Suter stands up and beckons Berger to join him on the feet. Suter throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! Suter plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! A momentary lapse in concentration from Suter enables Berger to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Suter manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Berger stands up over Suter, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Berger prevents Suter from getting back to his feet. Suter working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Berger doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Berger manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Suter controls Berger momentarily but Berger frees himself. Suter wants to sweep but no luck. Berger trying to control but Suter is working from the bottom. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Berger scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Suter striking from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Berger lands a couple of digs. Berger trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Berger throws and elbow that misses. Suter uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Berger's guard. Nice move by Suter! Suter keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Berger's head. Berger is trying to keep Suter in close.
Suter stands up from guard. Let's bang! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Berger has his takedown stuffed and Suter counters with a head kick. That will keep Berger thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
And that's the end of the fight! Joel Suter comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Suter has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
