Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gary Hawke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seppo Sikapossu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sikapossu is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Little pig. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gary Hawke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Seppo Sikapossu! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hawke has his takedown stuffed and Sikapossu counters with a good low kick that Hawke was not able to check. Hawke misses with a takedown and Sikapossu counters with a series of strikes. Hawke will be more careful next time no doubt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sikapossu misses with a series of wild punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hawke with a lazy takedown attempt and Sikapossu counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gary Hawke. That's going to take a lot out of him. No joy there for Sikapossu, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Hawke counters with a shoot takedown. Sikapossu fights it but they end up in guard. Sikapossu is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hawke is controlling him. Hawke stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sikapossu swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hawke thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Hawke prevents Sikapossu from getting back to his feet. Hawke drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hawke jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sikapossu is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hawke is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Hawke fails with a takedown attempt. Hawke shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Sikapossu counters with a nice low kick that buckles Hawke's knee momentarily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hawke bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Hawke with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Hawke is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Sikapossu to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Sikapossu shrugs it off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Sikapossu is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Sikapossu defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Hawke. Sikapossu is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Hawke looking to secure an arm triangle but Sikapossu defends it well. Sikapossu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hawke. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. You get the feeling that Sikapossu really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Hawke is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Sikapossu is surviving well by controlling Hawke's body position as best he can. Hawke wants to finish this one by submission but Sikapossu is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Hawke. Sikapossu is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawke has hold of Sikapossu's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Sikapossu manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
