Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Akira Shinsato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shinsato comes to the cage accompanied by Yoshi Story. Peters has chosen the Ong Bak theme as his entrance music. Jordan Peters acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Akira Shinsato! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jordan Peters! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peters throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shinsato. Shinsato takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Shinsato is looking to clinch. Shinsato clinches with his opponent.
Peters wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Shinsato has him pressed against the cage. Peters is trying to drag Shinsato to the mat but Shinsato just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Peters is looking to break free of the clinch but Shinsato has double underhooks. Peters's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Shinsato wants to clinch up but Peters keeps it at a distance. Shinsato clinches up with Peters and pushes him back against the cage. Shinsato has Peters pressed against the cage, preventing Peters from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Peters can't break the clinch.

Shinsato moves to clinch but Peters breaks away and Peters counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Peters fails to land with a series of punches.

Peters shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Shinsato but Shinsato pushes him off and we're back to square one. Peters lands a nice looking kick to the body. Shinsato takes a step back to recover. Peters tries to score a power double leg takedown but Shinsato sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Peters somewhat. Akira Shinsato has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jordan Peters.

Shinsato moves to clinch but Peters breaks away and Peters counters with a straight right hand. Peters is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Shinsato tries to clinch but Peters is having none of it. That was a close round but I would say that Akira Shinsato will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Akira Shinsato. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Shinsato, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
