Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between George Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ichigo Curas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ichigo Curas will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, George Peterson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ichigo Curas! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peterson throws a series of strikes that have Curas backpedaling.
Curas fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. No joy there for Peterson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A chopping leg kick lands by Curas. Curas connects with a leg kick. Peterson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Curas looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Curas looks to land a combination but Peterson avoids it well. Curas defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Peterson. Curas throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Peterson's head. Curas swinging wildly here.
Curas misses with a wild combination.
Peterson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. This has been an exciting period of action! If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Peterson trying to mount his opponent but Curas defends it.

Well, if Peterson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Curas is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Curas has one foot on Peterson's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Good leg kick by Curas there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Curas lands with a slapping head kick. Curas pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Peterson back to the cage. Curas follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Curas throws a nice inside leg kick. Peterson takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Curas looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Curas fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Peterson. Curas lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Peterson looking for a sweep. Not yet Peterson, not yet. Peterson has his foot on Curas's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Curas works his way back into a safe position though. Peterson seems keen to control Curas's posture. Peterson uses the cage to get back to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Curas is looking to slow Peterson down with leg kicks. Curas scores with a shot to the body.
Ichigo Curas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Curas lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Curas dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Peterson. That did some damage! Curas lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Curas looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Curas goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Curas throws a shot to the body.

Curas stuns Peterson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Peterson tries to clinch up. Curas lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Curas fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Peterson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Ichigo Curas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Peterson takes a head kick and keeps coming.
A head kick by Peterson misses and Curas counters with a head kick. That will keep Peterson thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Peterson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Curas - the referee stops the clock and Peterson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Curas. Peterson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. The fight stays on the outside here - Peterson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Peterson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Curas lands a leg kick that knocks Peterson off balance momentarily. Curas lands a nice leg kick that just misses Peterson's sensitive parts. Curas throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Curas, right into the meat.
Curas fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Peterson. A good leg kick by Curas. Peterson fails in his attempt to clinch. Curas fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Curas closes the distance and lands a one-two. Curas shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Peterson eats them both and turns towards Curas to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Peterson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Curas. Peterson has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Curas. Curas throws a series of strikes that have Peterson backpedaling.
Curas connects with a solid leg kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Peterson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Curas.

Curas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Curas wants it to stay on the feet. Curas throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Peterson's head. Peterson throws a right and a left that Curas avoids nicely. Peterson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Peterson shoots in looking for a takedown but Curas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Peterson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Curas closes the distance and lands a one-two. Curas lands with a kick to the temple. Peterson shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Curas fakes the leg kick and cracks Peterson in the body. Curas gets caught napping as Peterson dives in and scores a takedown. Curas manages to retain guard. Curas keeping full guard, as Peterson tries to pass. Peterson stops Curas from standing up. Peterson is working Curas over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Curas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Peterson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Peterson pushing down on Curas's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Peterson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Curas tries to kick Peterson off but Peterson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ichigo Curas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Peterson has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Curas. Nice body kick there by Curas. A nice inside leg kick there by Curas. That's going to slow Peterson down. Peterson instigates a clinch. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Peterson is trying to drag Curas to the mat but Curas just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Curas is trying to break free. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peterson keeps control of Curas as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. A frustrated look appears on Curas's face as he tries to break the clinch. Peterson will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. Curas looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Peterson breaks the clinch.
Curas throws a nice outside leg kick. Peterson misses the body punch and Curas counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Curas lands with a kick to the ribs.
Peterson is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. A good leg kick by Curas. Nice body kick from Curas. Curas is looking to slow Peterson down with leg kicks. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Curas, right into the meat.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Peterson steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Curas. That one must have hurt. Curas scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Curas scores with a head kick. Peterson tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. A right-left combo lands from Curas. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Curas!

Curas stalks Peterson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Peterson's face. Peterson staggers backwards, shaken. A right-left combo lands from Curas. A left and a right from Curas both land. Nice combination. A good leg kick by Curas. Curas defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Peterson.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peterson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
A head kick from Curas lands but Peterson takes it in his stride. Peterson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Curas quickly recovers to half guard. Peterson passes to full mount! Curas wants to get back to his feet but in bucking up he's left an arm hanging out! Peterson has locked onto it and has pulled off a slick armbar! Curas taps furiously! This one is all over!
