The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rios gets a clinch.
Deveraux misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Deveraux has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Rios regains guard immediately.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Deveraux stays in close to Rios's body and controls the position.

Rios lands a right hand that snaps the head of Deveraux backwards.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Deveraux is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Rios pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Deveraux looks to land a left hand but Rios moved out of range nicely.

Deveraux turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Rios blocks a low kick nicely.
Deveraux lands an overhand right.
Rios blocks a jab.
Rios lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

It looks like Luc Deveraux has been cut.
Luc Deveraux seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rios tries to clinch but Deveraux is having none of it.
Rios tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Deveraux paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Deveraux throws a head kick that misses.
Deveraux lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Rios misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Deveraux.

Rios stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Deveraux.
Deveraux avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Rios throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Deveraux counters with a series of strikes. Rios will be more careful next time no doubt.

Deveraux pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Deveraux scores with the left hand. Rios knows he should have avoided that one.

Rios is rocked!
Deveraux lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Rios crumples to the floor! Deveraux milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
