Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Druce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vitaliy Kleva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michael Druce has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Michael Druce! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vitaliy Kleva! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Druce misses with a takedown and Kleva counters by clinching up. Kleva taking a breather. Kleva is trying to trip Druce. He has hold of a leg but Druce is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Kleva persists though and gets the takedown into guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Kleva is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Druce is trying to keep Kleva in close.
Druce working for a triangle but Kleva defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kleva trying to control but Druce is working from the bottom. Kleva wants to stand but Druce has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Klevais looking to pass into half guard but Druce pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Druce is in guard. Druce thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kleva can do anything to dispel that myth. Druce trying to control but Kleva is working from the bottom. Druce passes Kleva's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Druce wants to control but Kleva is keeping him busy. Druce working over Kleva with some ground and pound. Kleva looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Druce sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kleva defending well though. Druce thows a huge punch but Kleva dodges it nicely.
Druce is figuring out what he wants to do next. Kleva is not content to let Druce control the position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Druce is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kleva doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Druce. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Druce seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kleva does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kleva on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Druce trying to control the action but Kleva is working from the bottom. Druce in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Kleva tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Druce!
