Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mark Munoz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, David Meadows! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Meadows lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Munoz swats away the attempt to clinch by Meadows. Meadows has a takedown stuffed. Munoz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Meadows sprawls well initially but Munoz persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Meadows keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Munoz landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
It looks like David Meadows has been cut. Munoz is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Meadows is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
