Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Optimus Crime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Braun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Optimus Crime! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mario Braun! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Franklyn Lucas and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Braun closes the distance and pushes Crime back into the cage. Crime blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Braun pulls guard successfully.
Braun keeping moving, preventing Crime from controlling successfully. Crime stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Braun swivels though and keeps the full guard. Crime slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Braun working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Crime doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Crime manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Crime slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Crime trying to control the position from guard on top but Braun is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Optimus Crime just wasn't active enough. Crime stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Crime wants it to stay on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sloppy strikes from Crime. Those never looked like landing. Mario Braun seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Crime fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Braun looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Crime throws a body punch but Braun moves out of range. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Crime throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Braun stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Crime lands with a nice body punch. Braun looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Crime is fending him off so far but Braun persists. Nope, Crime circles away and we're back to standing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crime misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Braun fails to land the takedown. Optimus Crime has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mario Braun. Braun moves into the clinch. Braun ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Braun no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Crime controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Crime tries to free his leg and advance position but Braun is retaining full guard. Braun is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crime trying to control the position from guard on top but Braun is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Optimus Crime wasn't doing enough on the ground. Crime cracks a nice hook into Braun's ribs. Crime goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Braun fails with the takedown.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Braun looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Braun will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Braun swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Braun takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Braun fails with a takedown attempt. Crime tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Braun was well out of range. Poor timing from Crime. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Optimus Crime dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Braun has closed the distance and engaged Crime in a clinch.
Crime tries to throw a body punch but Braun avoids it by throwing Crime back against the cage. Braun has Crime pressed against the cage.
Crime using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Braun has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Braun tries to work over Crime's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Braun is trying to break the clinch but Crime is controlling him. Crime is trying to stall.
Crime stops a takedown attempt from Braun.
Braun wants a takedown.
Crime misses with the head strike.
Crime misses with a punch on the inside.
Braun takes a knee to the side of the body. Crime lands on the inside with an uppercut. A short uppercut from Braun.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crime throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Brauns head. Braun breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Crime tries to keep at a distance but Braun has taken the fight into the clinch. Braun tries to break the clinch but Crime is controlling the position. Braun throws a punch but it's blocked by Crime. Crime misses with a punch to the body.
Crime stalls. Braun jumps into guard, dragging Crime to the mat.
Braun not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Crime is fighting to break Braun's control of his arms but Braun is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Braun can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Crime controls the pace.
Mario Braun has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. No luck with that takedown attempt from Braun. Optimus Crime has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mario Braun. Braun uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Crime.
Optimus Crime is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Braun gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Crime counters with a good low kick that Braun was not able to check.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Braun misses with a low kick. Braun misses with a series of wild punches.
Crime slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. A looping hook to the body misses from Crime. Braun does a little dance to reset his feet. Crime is looking to wear down Braun with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Braun staying out of range there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Braun shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Crime sprawls well. Crime wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Braun gets slowly back to his feet. Braun closes the distance and clinches. Crime lands a left hand.
Braun wants to break the clinch but can't.
Braun lands a hook that snaps the head of Crime backwards. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Braun lands with a short punch from the clinch.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Braun struggles to land a body shot inside as Crime controls his hands.
Braun wants to break free but Crime has control.
Braun throws an elbow but it misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Mario Braun will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Crime steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Braun. Braun throws a combination that misses and Braun takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Crime lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Braun shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Crime defends it nicely. Crime jabs Braun to the body, keeping him at a distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Braun gets the takedown into side control. Braun controls the position from side control. Crime holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage. Crime is not content to let Braun control the position. Crime tries to buck Braun off but Braun is having none of it. Sloppy strikes there by Braun. You can see the frustration on Crime's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Crime is not content to let Braun control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Braun slows the pace down. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Crime is pushing Braun's head away, looking to escape. Braun manages to hold on to the position though.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Braun feints and as Crime raises his hands in defense, Braun changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Braun wants to pass the guard but Crime is keeping the position. Crime is looking to stand up but Braun isn't so interested in that idea. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Braun pushes down on Crime's leg and manages to get into half guard. Braun sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crime has one foot on Braun's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. A big right from Braun misses. Crime misses with a series of wild punches.
Braun shoots for a takedown but Crime saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Braun darts in and clinches Crime up against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crime tries to land knees in the clinch but Braun avoids the damage to the body. Crime can't find room to land a body shot as Braun controls the action.
Crime has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Braun tries to stall but Crime uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Crime throws a punch but it's blocked by Braun. Braun throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Crime lands on the inside with an uppercut. Crime trying to stall but Braun improves his position.
Crime misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Crime trying to stall but Braun improves his position.
Braun wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Crime tries a body shot but Braun blocks it.
Crime fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Braun escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Crime throws a series of punches but Braun avoids them all with ease.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Optimus Crime. I think Crime has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
