Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nico Parcon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quinton Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nico Parcon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Quinton Jones! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Steve Montenegro and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones misses with the combination.
Parcon slips under a jab from Jones. Jab, jab by Jones - just one landing. Parcon lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Parcon tries to bum rush Jones with a series of wild strikes but Jones uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Quinton Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jones wants it to stay on the feet. Parcon throws a series of punches but Jones moves out of range. Parcon throws a right and a left that Jones avoids nicely. Parcon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jones pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Parcon back to the cage. Jones follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Jones lands an overhand right. Jones looks to land a combination but Parcon avoids it well. Parcon fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jones with a hook. Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Parcon dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Parcon's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nico Parcon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones swinging wildly here.
Parcon shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jones defends it nicely. Jones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Jones scores with a nice head shot. Jones showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Parcon.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Parcon thows a left - swing and a miss! Parcon fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Parcon shoots in but no luck this time. That kick from Jones tenderised Parcon's leg. Parcon is trying to keep his angry face on. Jones displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Jones lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Jones lands with a nice combination. Parcon backs away looking to recover. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Parcon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Parcon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Parcon gets the takedown into side control. Parcon with the ground and pound but Jones regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Parcon throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Jones to regain full guard. Parcon is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jones is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jones has escaped and now he's on top! Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Parcon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Jones connects with a couple of short punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Parcon is looking to stand up but Jones isn't so interested in that idea. Jones missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Parcon is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Jones manages to end up in side control. Jones wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Parcon, who protects the arm well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Quinton Jones dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Parcon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Parcon. Parcon shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Parcon shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Nico Parcon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jones with a hook. Jones connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Parcon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Parcon somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nico Parcon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones misses with a series of wild punches.

A punch combination from Jones misses. A combination from Jones does no damage. Jones lands a jab to the nose. Jones throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Parcon. Parcon dives in and scores a takedown into Jones's guard. Parcon trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Parcon throwing strikes but missing. Jones wants to sweep but no luck. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Parcon throws a big right hand that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parcon throws a strike but Jones rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Jones landing with the ground and pound. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jones wants to control from the top but Parcon keeps moving. Parcon wants to get back to his feet but Jones is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Parcon working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jones.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones trying to control but Parcon is working from the bottom. Parcon is looking to stand up but Jones isn't so interested in that idea. Parcon avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Jones content to stall in guard here. Jones throws an elbow that misses. Parcon uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jones's guard. Nice move by Parcon!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Parcon makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Parcon throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Jones trying to keep a closed guard but Parcon is proving a slippery customer.
Parcon lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Parcon passes easily into side control. Nice work. Jones gets back to half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Parcon not landing any meaningful shots this time. Parcon throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Jones to regain full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Quinton Jones will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!

Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sloppy strikes from Parcon. Those never looked like landing. Jones throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jones throws a big shot that misses. No joy there for Parcon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Parcon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jones is fending him off so far but Parcon persists. Nope, Jones circles away and we're back to standing. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jones throws a right hand that Parcon ducks under and follows up with a left that Parcon also avoids with ease. Parcon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Quinton Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jones scores with a jab. Parcon misses with a takedown attempt - Jones sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Parcon misses with a body punch
and Jones counters with a three punch combo that has Parcon backing up. Parcon nods at Jones to acknowledge the strikes. Parcon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jones manages to avoid it. Parcon throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones throws a nice looking combination but Parcon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Jones throws a shot to the body.
Parcon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Parcon closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jones to the mat! Jones manages to get full guard. Nico Parcon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jones wants to stand but Parcon is controlling the position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Parcon postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Parcon postures up in Jones's guard and throws a big left but Jones blocks it. Parcon throws a big elbow that misses. Jones is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Jones is looking to stall here but Parcon recovers full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones passes into half guard. Jones is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Parcon has managed to free his arm - good work. Jones is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones is working for an americana but Parcon has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Jones was thinking about the submission. Parcon working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jones. Quinton Jones is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones trying to control but Parcon is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Quinton Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
