Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Larry Corncobb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stran Gler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Larry Corncobb! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stran Gler! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Lou da Vinci and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gler shoots in looking for a takedown. Corncobb tries to sprawl out of it but Gler keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Corncobb manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A punch combination from Corncobb misses. Corncobb moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Gler tries to close the distance and clinch up but Corncobb swats him away and circles back towards the center. Gler on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Gler will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Corncobb's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Corncobb duly obliges. Gler takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Corncobb jabs Gler to the body, keeping him at a distance. Corncobb throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gler stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A combination from Corncobb does no damage. Gler is trying hard to land a takedown here. Corncobb sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Larry Corncobb has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stran Gler. Gler shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Corncobb defends it nicely. Corncobb feints a jab promting Gler to slip. Corncobb then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Gler slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gler looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Corncobb is fending him off so far but Gler persists. Nope, Corncobb circles away and we're back to standing. Gler is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Corncobb's half guard. Gler prevents Corncobb from improving his position. Gler thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Corncobb's head. Corncobb won't allow Gler to pass to mount. Corncobb is trying to stand.
Gler trying to control the action but Corncobb is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Corncobb tries to roll over but Gler keeps him under control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Corncobb is working hard here to advance position. Gler looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Corncobb keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Gler slows the pace down in half guard. Let's hope that Gler has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Stran Gler was stalling too much, according to the referee. Corncobb throws a wild combination but nothing lands. This has been an exciting period of action! Gler fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gler avoids the head kick by Corncobb.
Corncobb keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Corncobb tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Gler avoids a kick to the body.
Gler shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Corncobb as he avoids it easily. Gler is trying hard to land a takedown here. Corncobb sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Corncobb throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. No luck with that takedown attempt from Gler. Gler avoids the head kick by Corncobb.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Gler shoots for a takedown but Corncobb saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Gler wants to land a leg kick but Corncobb is out of range. Larry Corncobb is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Corncobb misses with a body kick. Corncobb fakes the leg kick and cracks Gler in the body. Corncobb displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gler. Gler looks gassed! Corncobb throws a left and a right that both miss
so Gler counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Corncobb is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Gler sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Corncobb's guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Gler is thwarting Corncobb's attempts to control the position. Gler thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Corncobb's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Larry Corncobb will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Corncobb punishes Gler's body with a nice straight punch. Corncobb stuffs the takedown. Gler fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Gler looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Corncobb is fending him off so far but Gler persists. Nope, Corncobb circles away and we're back to standing. Larry Corncobb has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stran Gler. Corncobb looks for the body kick but Gler saw that one coming. Gler looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Corncobb is fending him off so far but Gler persists. Nope, Corncobb circles away and we're back to standing. Corncobb stuffs the takedown attempt from Gler. Gler gets slowly back to his feet. Corncobb gets caught flat footed, as Gler shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Corncobb is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Gler dives into side control.
Corncobb wants to control but Gler postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Gler is breathing heavily. Gler wants to lay and pray for a moment but Corncobb keeps working. Corncobb struggling a bit here. Corncobb is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Gler is looking to take a break and control but Corncobb is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Corncobb tries to improve position but can't. Gler sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Corncobb is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gler staying calm. Corncobb tries to bench press Gler off him but Gler keeps the position. Gler lands a nice forearm strike. Corncobb wants to control but Gler postures up. Corncobb tries to buck Gler off but Gler is having none of it. Gler has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gler wants to lay and pray for a moment but Corncobb keeps working. You can see the frustration on Corncobb's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Gler staying calm. Gler has hold of Corncobb's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Corncobb seems comfortable defending it but Gler has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Corncobb is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Corncobb is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Gler couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Stran Gler! Stran Gler gave a mention to BioPharm Nutrition in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
