Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Duane McBride (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Auger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duane McBride looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nick Auger!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Auger, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Auger drops McBride with a left and a right! Oh, McBride is hurt - Auger dives into side control looking to finish!
It looks like Duane McBride has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Auger has knee on belly and moves into mount.
McBride is breathing heavily.
Auger controlling his opponent.
Auger landing strikes from the mount.
McBride is rocked!
Auger jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but McBride manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Auger decides to take the fight back to the feet.
McBride misses with a takedown attempt
and Auger counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Oh McBride is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Auger pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. McBride is keeping the position for now.
McBride seems to have got his legs back now.

Auger's corner is telling him to maintain position.
McBride tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Auger sitting in guard here, content to control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Auger wants to pass the guard but McBride is keeping the position.
Nick Auger has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Auger closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McBride to the mat! McBride manages to get full guard.
Auger controlling from the top position.
McBride on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if McBride tries to get out of the position.

Auger lands a couple of digs.
Auger has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of McBride is proving hard to escape from.
Auger is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Auger changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McBride looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Auger controls the position.

Auger in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Nick Auger was stalling too much, according to the referee.
McBride gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! McBride tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Auger is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and McBride buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves McBride!! McBride is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Auger throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nick Auger!
