Gracie has chosen Forró Japonês as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gracie slips a jab and a cross from Wenkel.
Wenkel punishes Gracie's body with a nice straight punch.
Wenkel tries a head kick but it misses.
Wenkel pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Gracie shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Wenkel is trying to defend but Gracie finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Wenkel is pressing down on Gracie's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Wenkel is trying to control the position but Gracie postures up.
Wenkel pulls Gracie in close to prevent any damage.

Wenkel is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gracie is aware though and is defending well.

Gracie wants to pass the guard but Wenkel is keeping the position.

Gracie avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gracie is posturing up here but Wenkel has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Gracie tries to roll out but it's too tight and Gracie has to tap! Slick submission there by Wenkel!
