Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tim Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hitmon Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taylor comes to the cage accompanied by . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tim Taylor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hitmon Lee! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Paulo Santos and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taylor's corner calls for a 1-2. Taylor obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Lee throws a body punch but Taylor moves out of range. Taylor gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lee to score an easy takedown into full guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Taylor will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Taylor looking for a sweep. Not yet Taylor, not yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Taylor wants to improve his position but instead Lee has moved into half guard.
Taylor pushes Lee off looking to stand but Lee dives back in and keeps control.
Lee thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Taylor's head. Lee prevents Taylor from standing back up.
Lee lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Taylor tries to roll over but Lee keeps him under control. Lee has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Lee looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Taylor with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Lee scores with a couple of nice shots. Lee scoring with strikes to the body and head. Lee is thwarting Taylor's attempts to control the position. Taylor on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Lee working Taylor over with strikes. Taylor trying to control here.
Taylor wants to get back to his feet. Lee is nestled in close to Taylor, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Taylor tries to kick Lee off but Lee keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Taylor knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lee on the ground. Taylor is trying to control but can't.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lee drops an elbow to the side of Taylor's head. Lee looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Taylor tries to get out of the position. Lee lands some shots froms side control. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Taylor takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Taylor tries to get back to half guard but can't. Lee landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Taylor is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
It looks like Tim Taylor has been cut. Lee working the head and body with strikes. Taylor takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Taylor is looking for a sweep. Lee works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Taylor has one of Lee's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage. Taylor sneaks back into half guard. Lee drops an elbow to the side of Taylor's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee is thwarting Taylor's attempts to control the position. Taylor is looking to improve his position.
Lee winds up and cracks Taylor with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Tim Taylor's cut is getting worse. Taylor is refusing to be controlled, as Lee sits in half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Taylor manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Lee postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Lee connects with a couple of short punches.
Tim Taylor's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Taylor trying to keep a closed guard but Lee is proving a slippery customer.
Lee lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Jeez, Tim Taylor's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Tim Taylor's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
