The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ninja tries to bum rush Protagonist with a series of wild strikes but Protagonist uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A chopping leg kick lands by Ninja.
Protagonist missing with a left hand there. Ninja was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Ninja swings for the body but Protagonist moves out of range.
Protagonist throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
A jab from Protagonist misses.
Ninja takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Ninja tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Protagonist moves out of range as Ninja throws a body kick.
Ninja moves out of range of the strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Protagonist throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Sloppy strikes from Ninja. Those never looked like landing.
That kick from Protagonist tenderised Ninja's leg. Ninja is trying to keep his angry face on.
Ninja is breathing heavily.
Protagonist connects with a solid leg kick.

Protagonist feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Ninja sprawling to the canvas! Ninja rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Protagonist finish him?!
Protagonist misses with a head kick.
Ninja tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Protagonist was well out of range. Poor timing from Ninja.
Protagonist throws a right and a left that both miss.
Protagonist's corner calls for a 1-2. Protagonist obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Protagonist throws a jab when Ninja was well out of range.
Ninja motions for Protagonist to come forward. Ninja throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Ninja scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
A decent looking cross lands there for Protagonist.
A jab from Protagonist misses.
Ninja tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Protagonist slips a jab from Ninja.
Ninja throws a leg kick but Protagonist sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Ninja misses with a wild body shot.
Ninja walks into a left hand.

Ninja is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Protagonist throws a hook to the side of Ninja's head but Ninja sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Ninja blocks a jab.
Ninja swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Protagonist throws a leg kick that misses.
Protagonist cracks Ninja with a right hand to the side of the head.
Ninja looks to land a combination but Protagonist avoids it well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Protagonist uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ninja has time to react.
Oh Ninja is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Protagonist throws a jab but it's blocked by Ninja.
Ninja seems to have got his legs back now.
Protagonist misses with a hook. Ninja ducked under it nicely.
Protagonist scores with a kick to the body.
Protagonist misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Protagonist throws a leg kick but Ninja moved away.
Protagonist closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Ninja! Protagonist dives in looking to finish! Ninja is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hiro Protagonist!
