0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Hideyoshi Hatakeda! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hatakeda looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Bartko is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bartko had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hatakeda defends it easily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bartko keeping moving, preventing Hatakeda from controlling successfully. Bartko is looking for a guillotine. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hatakeda tries to stand but Bartko is controlling his head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fanis Bartko dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Hatakeda gets the takedown into side control. Hatakeda wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bartko keeps working. Bartko is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Hatakeda is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Hatakeda wants to stand but Bartko is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.

Bartko regains half guard. Hatakeda wants to free his trapped foot but Bartko is holding on for dear life with his legs. Fanis Bartko overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hatakeda is breathing heavily. Bartko gets back to full guard.
