Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Parwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Sundin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jeff Sundin is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shane Parwin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jeff Sundin!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Steve Erwin and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sundin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Parwin is fending him off so far but Sundin persists. Nope, Parwin circles away and we're back to standing.
Parwin lands a nice hook to Sundin's body. Sundin takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Parwin scores a takedown into full mount!

Parwin looking to control but Sundin is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Sundin wants to control but Parwin is having none of it.
Parwin takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sundin regains half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sundin keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

Sundin looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Sundin trying to control but Parwin postures up.
Sundin is refusing to be controlled, as Parwin sits in half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sundin trying to hold on to Parwin's head to control him but Parwin postures up.

Sundin kicks off Parwin and gets to his feet.
Sundin tries for a takedown but Parwin circles away easily
and Parwin counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Shane Parwin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Parwin comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Sundin looks gassed!
Parwin tries to clinch up but Sundin circles away and keeps his distance.
Parwin connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Parwin takes the fight into the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Parwin tries to score a body lock takedown but Sundin shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Parwin has Sundin pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Parwin pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Sundin tumbling to the mat - Parwin dives into Sundin's guard.

Parwin trying to control the position from guard on top but Sundin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Parwin wants to stand but Sundin is controlling his posture from full guard.

Sundin not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Sundin circles away from the clinch attempt.
Parwin throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sundin on the side of the head.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Parwin.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sundin manages to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shane Parwin dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Parwin misses with a leg kick.
Shane Parwin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Parwin fails to land with a series of punches.
Sundin fails in his attempt to clinch.
Parwin misses with a body shot.
Parwin clinches but Sundin breaks the clinch

and Sundin counters with a single leg into guard. Parwin didn't expect that.
Sundin seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Parwin wants to stand and escape but Sundin is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sundin is standing up over Parwin. Parwin looks to escape but Sundin dives into side control.

Sundin is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Parwin is trying to escape and Sundin transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Parwin is forced to tap! Nice work there by Sundin! Very nice indeed!
