Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Desmond Claymore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cody Moser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Desmond Claymore! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cody Moser! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Claymore changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Moser tries to avoid it but Claymore manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Moser to the ground. Moser escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Desmond Claymore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Moser keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Claymore gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Moser counters with a nice uppercut. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Desmond Claymore. That's going to take a lot out of him. Moser fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Claymore shoots in but Moser avoids the takedown attempt easily. Claymore closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Moser's guard. Moser seems keen to control Claymore's posture. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Claymore postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Moser is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Claymore, into his guard. Moser sitting in guard, not really doing much. Moser lands a couple of elbows. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Claymore trying to control the position here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moser must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Moser stays in close to Claymore's body and controls the position. Moser stopping the sweep attempt from Claymore.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Claymore fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Moser keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Moser wants to clinch up but Claymore keeps it at a distance. Claymore gets the takedown into side control. Moser struggling a bit here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moser is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Claymore goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Moser has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Claymore but great work by Moser. Moser lands a decent elbow from side control. Moser tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Moser has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Claymore is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Moser is taking a breather. Claymore says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Claymore is looking to improve his position.

Moser is looking to take a break and control but Claymore is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Moser is thwarting Claymore's attempts to control the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Claymore fails with a takedown attempt. Claymore shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Moser sprawls well. Moser wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Claymore gets slowly back to his feet. Claymore has a takedown stuffed. Claymore has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Moser is trying to keep an underhook but Claymore manages to get the takedown into half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Moser manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Claymore drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Claymore jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Moser wants to stand and escape but Claymore is having none of it. Moser looks gassed! Claymore is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Moser looking to control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Claymore wants to control from the top but Moser keeps moving. Moser pulls Claymore in close to prevent any damage. Claymore drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Moser dives on top into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Cody Moser will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Claymore closes this distance looking for a takedown but Moser circles away. Moser tries to clinch but Claymore moves out of range. Claymore defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Moser. Claymore gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Moser finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Claymore shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Moser as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Desmond Claymore. That's going to take a lot out of him. A momentary lapse in concentration from Claymore enables Moser to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Claymore manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Claymore keeping moving, preventing Moser from controlling successfully. Claymore has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Moser advances to half guard. Moser is breathing heavily. Claymore regains full guard. Nicely done.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moser won't allow Claymore to sweep him here. Claymore lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Moser! Claymore takes Moser's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Moser is in trouble. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Moser is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Desmond Claymore overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Moser trying to control the hands but Claymore breaks the grip. Moser turns into Claymore and is now in his guard.
Claymore working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Moser. Claymore is pulling down on Moser's head. It's preventing any offense from Moser, at least for the moment.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Moser is trying desperately to improve position. Claymore raining down hammerfists from mount. Moser can't escape the position.
