Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Urie Sergeyev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Omen Dikom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Urie Sergeyev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Omen Dikom! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Dmitry Maklakov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sergeyev drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Sergeyev creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Dikom sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Dikom is trying to control Sergeyev's posture but Sergeyev avoids it. Sergeyev wants to stand but Dikom is controlling his arm. Sergeyev tries to move to mount but Dikom blocks the move with his legs. Dikom is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Sergeyev's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Sergeyev is thwarting Dikom's attempts to control the position. Sergeyev is trying to work for a kimura but Dikom is defending well.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Omen Dikom hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Dikom gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Sergeyev counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Dikom's guard now. Dikom pulls Sergeyev in to control the position. Sergeyev with a flurry of punches that miss. Dikom had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sergeyev defends it easily. Sergeyev has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Sergeyev is fighting to break Dikom's control of his arms but Dikom is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sergeyev is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Sergeyev clinches up against the cage. Sergeyev has Dikom pressed against the cage, preventing Dikom from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Dikom ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dikom no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Sergeyev fails in his attempt to clinch. Sergeyev is looking to clinch but Dikom is avoiding it.

Dikom is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Dikom jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sergeyev walks away with a smile on his face. Dikom gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Sergeyev moves into the clinch successfully.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sergeyev's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dikom gets caught flat footed, as Sergeyev shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dikom keeping moving, preventing Sergeyev from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sergeyev rushes Dikom and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Sergeyev with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Sergeyev breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Dikom tries to clinch but Sergeyev moves out of range. Dikom blocks a head kick by Sergeyev.
Dikom will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Dikom gets caught flat footed, as Sergeyev shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Urie Sergeyev overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Sergeyev throws a big right hand that misses. Sergeyev postures up in Dikom's guard and throws a big left but Dikom blocks it. Sergeyev throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dikom works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Sergeyev wants to stand and escape but instead Dikom has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sergeyev avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Dikom drops back looking for a leg! Sergeyev is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sergeyev manages to kick Dikom off! Dikom jumps back into Sergeyev's guard. Dikom stands and steps away. Sergeyev gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Sergeyev moves into the clinch. Dikom displaying some good clinch control by pressing Sergeyev up against the cage. Dikom takes a knee right on the jaw!

Dikom gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Sergeyev makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Dikom is breathing heavily. Dikom closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sergeyev circles away. Urie Sergeyev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Omen Dikom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sergeyev scores with a takedown into Dikom's guard. Sergeyev is looking to work some ground and pound but Dikom has wrist control. Dikom is looking to stand up but Sergeyev isn't so interested in that idea. Sergeyev stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dikom swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sergeyev decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dikom, up you get! Sergeyev closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dikom did well to prevent Sergeyev getting side control. Sergeyev throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Sergeyev passes into side control, despite Dikom's attempt to control the position.
Sergeyev tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sergeyev has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sergeyev looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Dikom is avoiding damage well.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Urie Sergeyev dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!
Dikom misses with a takedown and Sergeyev counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Dikom! Sergeyev avoids the attempt from Dikom to control. Dikom is desperately trying to improve his position but Sergeyev has a good base and remains in mount. Sergeyev working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Sergeyev looking to control but Dikom is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Sergeyev pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Dikom squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Dikom takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Sergeyev breaks from Dikom's wrist control and lands an elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dikom wants to control but Sergeyev is having none of it. Sergeyev working some short elbows here. He postures up to throw some more ground and pound but Dikom slips a leg through to get back to half guard. Nice work.
Sergeyev prevents Dikom from improving his position. Dikom actively working from the bottom here. Sergeyev looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sergeyev lands a nice short elbow. Sergeyev performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Sergeyev is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

He lands a short punch in the meantime. Sergeyev working the head and body with strikes. Sergeyev is looking for a kimura but Dikom is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sergeyev to get the leverage. Sergeyev is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Dikom has managed to free his arm - good work. Sergeyev is thwarting Dikom's attempts to control the position. Dikom makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Urie Sergeyev is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Dikom is looking to break free of the clinch but Sergeyev has double underhooks. Sergeyev pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dikom changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sergeyev tries to avoid it but Dikom manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sergeyev to the ground. Sergeyev escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Urie Sergeyev showed his dominance in that final round. Well Sergeyev has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
