Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Papoh Bamoya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bamoya comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Lupang Hinirang kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bamoya misses with a combination
and Alves counters with a one-two to the body.
Alves misses with a looping right.
Alves takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Alves shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Bamoya counters with a nice uppercut.
Alves fails with the takedown.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bamoya scores with a leg kick.
Bamoya throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bamoya throws a low kick but it's checked well by Alves .
Alves takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
It looks like Thiago Alves has been cut.

Bamoya misses with a wild combination.
Nice sprawl there from Bamoya as Alves shoots in.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thiago Alves . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Alves needs to keep his hands up - Bamoya had a free shot at his head there.
Bamoya takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Alves closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bamoya did well to prevent Alves getting side control.
Bamoya is looking to escape.
Alves trying to control the action but Bamoya is working from the bottom.
Bamoya on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Bamoya is trying to stand back up but Alves is controlling him
Alves has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Alves looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bamoya with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Bamoya has hold of Alves 's hands but Alves slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Bamoya is trying to stand back up but Alves is controlling him
Alves trying to pass the guard but Bamoya defending well.
Bamoya pushes Alves off and gets back to his feet.
Papoh Bamoya is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bamoya lands a leg kick that knocks Alves off balance momentarily.
Bamoya throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Bamoya misses with a low kick.
Bamoya throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Alves throws a body punch but Bamoya moves out of range.
Alves dodges the punch combination from Bamoya.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Alves closes the distance and clinches up with Bamoya, looking for a takedown. Alves pushes Bamoya against the ropes but Bamoya circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bamoya connects with a high kick.
Alves is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bamoya's half guard.
Alves passes to full mount!
Bamoya wants to control but Alves is having none of it.
Poor strikes thrown by Alves there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Bamoya is looking to improve his position but Alves isn't that keen on the idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Alves working some short elbows here. He postures up to throw some more ground and pound but Bamoya slips a leg through to get back to half guard. Nice work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bamoya pushes Alves off looking to stand but Alves dives back in and keeps control.
Bamoya is looking to get back to is feet but Alves passes into side control.
Alves postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Bamoya tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Alves wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The strikes coming from Alves are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Bamoya is looking to regain half guard here but Alves keeps moving and retains side control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Alves in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Alves connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Bamoya some visible discomfort.
You can see the frustration on Bamoya's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Papoh Bamoya dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Thiago Alves 's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!
Bamoya throws a body kick that misses.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Bamoya.
A left and a right from Bamoya both land. Nice combination.
Bamoya lands a left and a right that send Alves crashing to the mat, dazed. Bamoya thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Alves is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Alves gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Bamoya points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Alves wakes up just in time to hear Bamoya thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Papoh Bamoya!
