The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurosawa throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hernandez was covering up waiting for the punch and Kurosawa finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Kurosawa thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Kurosawa drops back looking for a leg! Hernandez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hernandez manages to kick Kurosawa off! Kurosawa jumps back into Hernandez's guard.
Hernandez on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hernandez tries to get out of the position.
Kurosawa slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Kurosawa is trying to get an arm triangle but Hernandez is defending well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kurosawa has hold of Hernandez's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Hernandez tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Kurosawa cranks the arm and Hernandez screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Hernandez, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
