The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Vladimir Khabensky and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyka shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Julien sprawls well. Julien wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Boyka gets slowly back to his feet.
Boyka shoots in looking for a takedown but Julien manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Boyka's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Boyka tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Julien swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yuri Boyka. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Julien drops Boyka with a left and a right! Oh, Boyka is hurt - Julien dives into side control looking to finish!
Boyka is rocked!
It looks like Yuri Boyka has been cut.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Julien decides to stand back up.

Julien slaps away a takedown attempt from Boyka, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Boyka shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Julien forces Boyka back against the ropes and clinches.
Julien manages to break the clinch.
Julien lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Boyka is looking to close the distance but Julien sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Boyka crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Boyka is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
