The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quigley's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Quigley duly obliges. Monsterson slips under a jab from Quigley. A big left from Quigley misses. Monsterson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Quigley misses with a straight right. A swing and a miss from Quigley. Monsterson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Quigley counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Quigley misses with a straight left. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Quigley is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Quigley seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Joseph Quigley. Well Quigley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
