Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Derek Hurley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ariel Piechocki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ariel Piechocki is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ariel Piechocki!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Glass and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hurley circles away from the clinch attempt.
Piechocki tries a head kick but it misses.
Piechocki moves to clinch but Hurley breaks away

and Hurley counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Piechocki!
Hurley tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Piechocki tries to hold on but Hurley postures up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hurley throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Piechocki tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hurley is in Piechocki's guard.

Hurley has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Well, if Hurley is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Hurley takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hurley, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
