Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Albert Johanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tsuyoshi Kohsaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Johanson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Cult of Personality. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tsuyoshi Kohsaka!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Sergei Dronov and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kohsaka gets a double leg takedown into Johanson's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee asks Kohsaka politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kohsaka prefers to stall for the moment though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kohsaka wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johanson keeps working.
Johanson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tsuyoshi Kohsaka showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Johanson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Kohsaka shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Johanson pinned against the ropes. Johanson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kohsaka shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Johanson's guard.
Kohsaka takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Kohsaka is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Kohsaka seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kohsaka in particular looking to stall.
Kohsaka's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kohsaka connects with a nice short shot to Johanson's temple.

Tsuyoshi Kohsaka comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kohsaka has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
