Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clessie Cummins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Burenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Clessie Cummins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexander Burenko! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burenko throws a sloppy head kick and Cummins moves out of range easily. A momentary lapse in concentration from Burenko enables Cummins to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Burenko manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Burenko is looking to stand up but Cummins isn't so interested in that idea. Cummins gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. A shot to the liver by Cummins. Beautiful body shot. Cummins shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Cummins was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cummins stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Burenko looks gassed! Cummins shoots in for a takedown but Burenko shows good takedown defense. Burenko stuffs the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cummins looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Burenko tries to clinch but Cummins moves away and Cummins counters with a straight right hand. Cummins darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Cummins has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Cummins controlling his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cummins thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Cummins looking to control and managing it successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cummins dominating with strikes here. Cummins tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Burenko is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Cummins throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Burenko because Cummins loaded up on that one. You get the feeling that Burenko really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Cummins controlling his opponent. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Clessie Cummins dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Cummins has Burenko up against the cage in a clinch.
Cummins's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Burenko tries to clinch but fails miserably and Cummins counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Cummins. Burenko misses with a knee to the head. Cummins tries for a takedown but Burenko manages to get underhooks.
Cummins breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Burenko closes the distance looking to clinch and Cummins counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Cummins works a leg free and moves into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cummins not doing much here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burenko avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Cummins. Cummins is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Burenko! Cummins controlling his opponent.

We're going to have a standup here because Clessie Cummins wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Burenko tries to clinch there but Cummins circles away.
Cummins fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Burenko, pushing him back against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cummins is struggling to control the position. Cummins drags the fight down to the ground.
Burenko trying to stand up but can't free himself from Cummins's guard. Cummins looking for a guillotine here but Burenko defends easily.
Burenko tries to stand but Cummins is controlling from the bottom. Cummins had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Burenko defends it easily. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cummins is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Clessie Cummins dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Burenko tries to clinch but Cummins moves away and Cummins counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Burenko's guard now. Cummins sitting in guard here, content to control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Clessie Cummins. Burenko throws a sloppy head kick and Cummins counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cummins. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cummins throwing strikes but missing. Cummins controls from within his opponent's guard. Burenko takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cummins stands up and waves to Burenko to follow him. No luck with that takedown attempt from Cummins. Alexander Burenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cummins gets in close and instigates a clinch. Burenko has had enough of the clinch but Cummins keeps him there for the moment. Burenko throws a knee to the head but misses.

Cummins has his foot on Burenko's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Burenko works his way back into a safe position though. Cummins has a closed guard, preventing Burenko from standing up. Cummins had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Burenko defends it easily. Cummins pulls Burenko in close to his closed guard and prevents Burenko from doing any damage or advancing position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cummins trying to work for an americana but Burenko has managed to regain full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cummins stands up from guard. Let's bang! Burenko tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cummins swats him away and circles back towards the center. Burenko moves to clinch but Cummins breaks away letting Cummins counter with a right hand. Cummins is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Burenko's half guard. Cummins thows a huge punch but Burenko dodges it nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cummins not doing much here.
Cummins is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Alexander Burenko has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cummins is controlling the pace.
And that's the end of the fight! Clessie Cummins showed his dominance in that final round. Well Cummins has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
